About

Slovenia is such a small country that one could say 90% of the region is borderland. Notwithstanding its size, there are about 50 different dialects spoken locally. Slovenia’s manners and foods are greatly influenced by its neighbors: Italy to the west; Austria to the north; Hungary to the east, and Croatia to the south. But the outstanding feature of Slovenia is its language, a highly inflected southern Slavic language.
